Skater XP ("we", "our", or "us") is a skateboarding social platform. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Information We Collect

Account information: When you create an account, we collect your email address, username (handle), and any profile information you choose to provide (display name, bio, avatar, location, skate stance).

Content you post: Videos, photos, captions, comments, stories, and other content you upload to Skater XP.

Activity data: XP events, spot check-ins, game results, challenge completions, and other in-app actions that contribute to your progression.

Device information: Device type, operating system, and app version for troubleshooting purposes.

Usage data: Which features you use and how you interact with the app, to improve the product.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To operate your account and display your profile to other users
• To calculate and display your XP, level, and leaderboard ranking
• To show your content in the feed and search results
• To process Pro subscription purchases through Apple's App Store
• To send push notifications you opt into (new followers, game challenges, etc.)
• To review reported content and enforce community guidelines
• To improve and debug the app

3. User-Generated Content

Content you post (clips, stories, comments, profile information) is visible to other users of Skater XP. You are responsible for the content you post. We reserve the right to remove content that violates our community guidelines.

We provide in-app tools to report content and block other users. Reported content is reviewed by our team.

4. Third-Party Services

• Supabase: We use Supabase for database storage and authentication. Your data is stored on Supabase infrastructure. See supabase.com/privacy.
• Apple: Pro subscriptions are processed through Apple's In-App Purchase system. Apple's privacy policy applies to those transactions. See apple.com/legal/privacy.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data and content within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

6. Your Rights

You may:

• Edit or delete your profile information at any time from the app
• Delete content you've posted
• Request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing us
• Request a copy of your data

7. Children's Privacy

Skater XP is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

8. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and row-level security on our database. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or via email. Continued use of Skater XP after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
