Is there an app to play a game of S.K.A.T.E. online?
Yes — Skater XP is the skate battle app. You film a trick, your opponent has to match it on video or they get a letter. It works async so you don't need to be at the same spot or online at the same time. Free on iOS.
How do S.K.A.T.E. battles work in Skater XP?
You challenge another skater and take turns setting tricks on video. If your opponent can't land the same trick, they get a letter — S, K, A, T, E. Spell it out and you lose. All battles are clip-based so the footage is required, not optional.
Do we need to be at the same skatepark?
No. Because every battle move is a video clip, you can each be at any spot. You film your trick wherever you are, post it, and your opponent responds with their own clip from wherever they're skating.
Does Skater XP have skate battle rankings?
Yes. Battle wins and losses show up on your public skate profile alongside your XP level, trick list, and clip history. Your battle record is part of your full skater identity on the app.
Can I challenge someone I don't follow?
Yes. You can search for any Skater XP user and send a battle request. They just need to accept and you're in.
Is the skate battle app free?
Yes, S.K.A.T.E. battles are completely free. Download Skater XP on the App Store, create a profile, and challenge any skater.
